McNeal Wins $6000 at Maryland Division Opener
Dennis McNeal of Stafford, VA won the Maryland Division Ram Truck Open Series opener at the Potomac River on March 26, 2016. McNeal brought in a 19.57 pound limit to win $6000. “I stayed in one mid-lake area all day, throwing a Green Craw colored Bandit crankbait. I was sitting in about 12 feet of water, casting to the bank. The fish seemed to be in 6-7 feet of water. Some of them just engulfed the bait,” said McNeal.
Jason Ober of Everett, PA finished in second place with 18.60 winning $1816.
Brandon Pyles of Middletown, MD finished in third place with 18.50 pounds worth $1211. “I went north first thing this morning and caught most of them in the first 45 minutes. They came on a moving bait in about a foot of water,” said Pyles.
There was a tie for boater Big Bass at the Potomac event. Ken "Bummy" Baumgardner of Monomgahela, PA and Pat Loewy of Bowie, MD both weighed in a 5.72 largemouth bass, splitting $900 from the Big Bass Pot.

R. V. Mann Jr. wins on Lake Gaston
R. V. Mann Jr., of Whitkers, North Carolina won the AFT Division 17, North Carolina Central tournament on Lake Gaston. The event was held on Lake Gaston on 17 November 2018, launching out of Salmon Landing (Little Stonehouse Creek) off of 903 in Littleton, North Carolina. It was a tough day of fishing starting off in the lower 30’s, warming to around 55 in the afternoon.
Kerry and Heather Wilson win on Lake Jordan
ATHENS, Ala. – Kerry and Heather Wilson won the American Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Central Alabama Division 1 tournament, held November 10, 2018, on Lake Jordan. Running out of the Bonnor’s Landing, the team caught 5-bass weighing 10.31-pounds. For the victory, they earned a check for $405.00. The Wilson’s caught their fish on swim jigs.
