Gary Hubble Wins the Ram AFT District 42 Tournament on Arkansas River
The first tournament of the ABA Ram American Fishing Tour D42 was held on March 26th 2016, on the Arkansas River in the Little Rock Pool. 28 anglers came out on a chilly morning and were greeted with a muddy river. Some anglers mentioned catching some good fish over the preceding week and many good fish were brought to the scales, just not a lot of them as fishing was tougher than expected. Only three five-fish limits were brought to the scales.
Gary Hubble topped the field with five fish for a total weight of 13.72 pounds. Gary threw a jig to catch his fish.
Joey Korte sacked up five fish for a total weight of 12.40 pounds. Joey relied on plastics to fill his livewell.
Rounding out the top three was Randy Crapps who threw a beaver to catch five fish for a total weight of 9.82 lbs.
Big Bass of the day weighed 5.47 pounds and was caught by David Lea.
1st Gary Hubble 13.72 pounds $651
2nd Joey Korte 12.40 pounds $404
3rd Randy Crapps 9.82 pounds $137
4th John Simonof 9.70 pounds $108
5th David Lea 9.65 pounds $72 + $130 Big Bass
