Guilbeau Takes Win on Clarks Hill
Our winner, Mike Guilbeau, was fishing in the Little River and Savannah River area using top water lures.
Second place went to Douglas Buturla with10.28 pounds, Douglas also had big fish a 5.16 pounder.
Nine anglers fished this Clarks Hill Lake one-day qualifying tournament. It started out at 85 degrees and ended with the 3 pm weigh-in at 99 degrees. It was sunny with a light wind most of the day and winds from the west. Water temperature was 85 degrees. The main lake was clear.

2 - Douglus Buturla - 3 fish 10.28 lbs. 190 pts and $128.00 plus $45.00 big fish total $173.00
3 - Eric Mora of Appling, GA.- 4 fish 9.07 lbs. 189 pts.
4 - Bart Blackburn of North Augusta, SC - 5 fish 7.86 188 pts.
5 - William Hooker - 4 fish 6.52 187 pts.

These anglers accrued valuable points toward the Divisional Angler of the Year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the RAM AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, RAM AFT National Championship tournament. The RAM American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points.

Aaron Batson of Oxford, GA. brought a winning sack totaling at 23.53 lbs. to the scale at Lake Oconee on December 21, 2019 for the D72 Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tournament.

2021 Ray Scott Championship Lake Chickamauga Dayton, TN
ATHENS, Ala. – January 06, 2020 -- American Bass Anglers announced today that the 2021 Ray Scott Championship, will be hosted by Dayton, TN. The event will take place April 11-18 at Dayton Boat Dock on Lake Chickamauga in Dayton, TN. Two hundred boaters and co-anglers from the Bass Pro Shops Open Series 2020 season will be invited to compete for over $300,000.00 in cash and prizes which include $115,000 for first place boater and $65,000 for first place co-angler.
Lake Chickamauga is a reservoir along the Tennessee River completed in 1940 and has a shoreline of 810 miles stretching from Watts Bar Dam to Chickamauga Dam making the lake 58.9 miles long. The Championship will launch from the Dayton Boat Dock at Dayton TN, near the midsection of the lake. Lake Chickamauga is known for big bass stringers and the month of April should produce an exceptional fishery for all the anglers.......
John Rice and Paul Arnold Take Home Two New Tritons at Chickamauga
John Rice of Huntsville, Al and Paul Arnold of Woodville, Al. won the Bass Pro Shops Team Tour Championship, held October 5th and 6th on Lake Chickamauga. Launching out of Dayton Boat Dock and Grill. John and Paul went straight to work and caught a two-day limit of 10 bass weighing 36.51 pounds. For their victory, the team took home 2 Triton TX-17 boats equipped with 60 HP Mercury outboards and Garmin electronics valued at $40,000.
