Kerwin Chastain Wins on StocktonThe Stockton Lake bass proved to be a little picky for American Bass Anglers Division 126 Saturday, April 25, 2015, as only five anglers weighed in the 5-fish limit. However, it was Springfield, MO angler, Kerwin Chastain with only four fish that had the winning weight of 12.22 lbs. He also had Big Bass of the tournament with a 6.20 largemouth. Chastain took $759 for the win. He and his boater reported catching fish in at least 16’ of water, dragging jigs on windy banks.Mike Carter of Raytown, MO took 2nd place with a total weight of 10.88 lbs. Third place went to Bill Stines of Skiatook, OK with 10.57 lbs and 4th place was Ft. Scott angler, Tony French with 10.52 lbs. These anglers also caught their fish in 16’, dragging jigs on windy banks.Twenty-two anglers from Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma experienced typical spring weather with fronts moving through the area bringing overcast and wind. The next tournament for this circuit will be May 30, 2015, again on Stockton Lake using Old State Park as launch site.D126 anglers have invited active duty military from Ft Leonard Wood, MO to join us for the May 30th tournament. They will all be paired with an ABA boater and fish this event as our guests. More information about this special event will be available soon.These tournaments qualify anglers for the 2015 Stockton Lake 2-day Championship August 1-2 on Stockton Lake and the National Championship in late October on Lake Hartwell, SC. R. V. Mann Jr. wins on Lake Gaston
R. V. Mann Jr., of Whitkers, North Carolina won the AFT Division 17, North Carolina Central tournament on Lake Gaston. The event was held on Lake Gaston on 17 November 2018, launching out of Salmon Landing (Little Stonehouse Creek) off of 903 in Littleton, North Carolina. It was a tough day of fishing starting off in the lower 30’s, warming to around 55 in the afternoon.
Kerry and Heather Wilson win on Lake Jordan
ATHENS, Ala. – Kerry and Heather Wilson won the American Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Central Alabama Division 1 tournament, held November 10, 2018, on Lake Jordan. Running out of the Bonnor’s Landing, the team caught 5-bass weighing 10.31-pounds. For the victory, they earned a check for $405.00. The Wilson’s caught their fish on swim jigs.
