John Campos Wins on Lake Hopatcong
Athens, Al - John Campos of Fairfield, NJ won the American Fishing Tour New Jersey division 10 tournament with two fish weighing 2.16 pounds held on Hopatcong on 04/12/2015.Running out of Lees Park landing near, MT. ARLINGTON, NJ, John Campos of Fairfield, NJ caught two bass weighing 2.16 pounds, just four days after ice out. For the victory Campos took home a check for $401. John caught his fish pitching a jig.In second among the competitors was Lucas Bogosain of Harrington Park, NJ. Bogo caught one fish weighing 2.16 pounds. Bogo was using Ardent Apex reels with Hi-Seas line while flipping shallow water. Lucas pocketed a check for $187. Lucas also captured the â€œBig Fishâ€ side pool with the 2.16 pound largemouth collected an additional $60.Third place went to Al Pallavincini of Ringwood, NJ. Al weighed in one fish for 0.98 pounds. No other fish were weighed in from other competitors, again four days from ice out made conditions tough. These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. Roger Farr Takes the win on Greenwood
Roger Farr of Little Mountain, SC won the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour D96 tournament held 12/30/2018 on Lake Greenwood. Running out of Greenwood State Park near Ninety Six, SC Roger brought back a five-fish limit that locked in the scales at 14.38-lbs. For his victory and first place in the option pot, he took home $545, along with the first place trophy.
South Carolina Couples Cancels 12/8 Tournament
The South Carolina Couples Division 11 has canceled the 12/8 tournament scheduled for Lake Wateree. This decision has been made due to falling lake levels, the ramp and the launch site is inaccessible. Jai Hunter Sr. Wins $5500 on Lake Okeechobee
ATHENS, Ala. – Jai Hunter Sr. of Deland, FL won the Bass Pro Shops Open Series Florida Central tournament, held January 19th on the Lake Okeechobee. Running out of Roland Martin Marina & Resort in Clewiston, FL the Jai Sr. caught five-bass weighing 18.10-pounds. For the Boater Division victory, Hunter Sr. took home a check for $5500 for his win.
Galbraith and Mason win the Triton 100% Plus Team Tour Championship
The team of Roy Galbraith of Guin, Alabama and Richard Mason of Athens, Alabama took home the win in the American Bass Anglers Triton Plus 100% Team Tour Championship, held on Pickwick Lake November 3rd and 4th, 2018.
