Texoma Top 150 Solo Delayed ATHENS, Ala. – Anglers fishing the Southwest Division of the American Bass Anglers Top 150 Solo Series, Presented by Caymas Boats, season opener will begin the 2022 season 24 hours later than expected and a day shorter. Originally scheduled as a two-day tournament slated for March 18-19, the event will only run for one day, Saturday, March 19, because of unsafe weather conditions expected in the area on Friday. The event runs out of Highport Marina, located at 120 Texoma Harbor Drive in Pottsboro, Texas, to fish Lake Texoma. |
2022 150 Solo Tour Begins on Lake Texoma ATHENS, Ala. – In 2021, American Bass Anglers introduced the Top 150 Solo Tour with the concept of offering the next level of competition for ABA members. The Tour has an entry fee of $600 per event and provides anglers with the opportunity to win up to $20,000 per Divisional event. American Bass Anglers introduced the 2022 season with several significant changes in October. These changes increase competition and provide a path to a new Solo Tour Championship. The Top 150 Solo is not for the faint of heart, as this is the next level of competition. |

Top 150 Solo Southwest - Sam Rayburn 'Big Sam' Can Produce Giant Texas Bucketmouth Bass By John N. Felsher The American Bass Anglers Top 150 Solo Series Southwest Division heads to Texas for Round Two of its inaugural season. Well known for producing giant largemouths, Lake Sam Rayburn always sits high on anyone’s list of top bass lakes. Impounded in 1965, the reservoir spreads across 114,500 acres on the Angelina River. The largest lake entirely within Texas runs approximately 79 miles through the East Texas piney woods. The massive reservoir offers anglers more than 750 miles of shoreline and drops to more than 80 feet deep in places. |

New Solo Series Opens At Toledo Bend Reservoir By John N. Felsher American Bass Anglers created a new high-level tournament trail for weekend anglers that promises big cash payouts and chances to fish the annual Ray Scott Championship. The new trail, the ABA Top 150 Solo Series, features two regional divisions – Southwest and Southeast. Each division will hold three regional tournaments. The Southwest Division kicks off the new season on Feb. 5-6 at Toledo Bend Reservoir. In the Southeast Division, anglers open the season Feb. 26-27 on Lake Eufaula in Alabama.
