Eric Turner topped the field with four-fish for a total weight of 5.16-lbs. Eric threw a Slider Ringmaster worm on a homemade shakey-head on a Dobyns 743 HP rod and Lew’s reel spooled up with Vicious Pro Elite Fluorocarbon line. Eric stated using Bait Mate attractant helped catch his fish. |

Ellis Wins on Arkansas River Mark Ellis of Malvern, Arkansas won the first event of the ABA American Fishing Tour D42 held on November 19th and contested on the Arkansas River in the Pine Bluff Pool. Mark topped the field with five fish for a total weight of 13.99 pounds. Mark threw a crankbait and Caroline-rig to catch his fish. Mark earned $500 for his efforts. |
Simonof Wins D42 Divisional Championship John Simonof of Jacksonville, Arkansas wont the final two day event of the AFT D42 season held on September 10th and 11th on Lake Dardanelle. John topped the field with eight fish for a total weight of 18.55 pounds. He also caught the Big Bass for day one weighing in at 2.74 pounds. John threw a homemade vibrating jig and 1/2oz jig poured on Owner hooks and fished on Temple Fork Outfitter rods, Lew’s Speed Spools, and 20# Hi-Seas Quattro fluorocarbon line to haul in his fish. John took home a check for $576 for his efforts. |
Simonof Wins on Arkansas River/Pine Bluff Pool John Simonof of Jacksonville, Arkansas wins the final 1-day qualifying event of the AFT D42 held on August 13th on the Arkansas River/Pine Bluff Pool. John topped the field with three fish for a total weight of 7.08 pounds. He threw a 3/8 oz homemade jig poured on an Owner hook on a GTS C736-1 Temple Fork Outfitter rod, Lew’s reel and 20 lb Hi-Seas Quattro Fluorocarbon line to catch his fish. |

John Simonof of Jacksonville, Arkansas topped the field with five fish for a total weight of 14.91 lbs. John threw a 1/2 ounce homemade vibrating jig poured on an Owner hook and a Strike King 3XD with Owner Premium Point Position® treble hooks on Temple Fork Outfitter rods, Lew’s reels and Hi-Seas Quattro Fluorocarbon line to catch his fish. John also caught the days Big Bass at 4.76 pounds. |

Gary Hubble Wins the Ram AFT District 42 Tournament on Arkansas River The first tournament of the ABA Ram American Fishing Tour D42 was held on March 26th 2016, on the Arkansas River in the Little Rock Pool. 28 anglers came out on a chilly morning and were greeted with a muddy river. Some anglers mentioned catching some good fish over the preceding week and many good fish were brought to the scales, just not a lot of them as fishing was tougher than expected. Only three five-fish limits were brought to the scales. |
John Simonof Wins District 42 Two-Day Divisional Championship on the Arkansas River Story by John Simonof
The Ram American Fishing Tour Division 42 contested its Two-Day Divisional Championship of the 2015 John Simonof topped the field with a five fish limit both days for a total weight of 21.31 pounds. John relied on Temple Fork Outfitter rods and Lew's reels spooled up with Hi-Seas braided and Quattro Fluorocarbon line to catch his fish on a Spro popping frog and homemade football jigs poured on OWNER hooks. Rob Stone hauled in eight fish over the weekend for a total weight on 15.80 pounds. Rob relied on a Berkley Pit Boss and trick worms to catch his fish. Rounding out the top three was Amsoil pro Sean Ingalls. Sean relied on crankbaits to sack up seven fish over the weekend for a total weight of 13.27 pounds. Big Bass on Day One caught by Sean Ingalls weighed 2.71 pounds. Big Bass caught on Day Two, a 3.19 pound fish was weighed in by Steve Smith. |
