DAVID  LOWERY  WINS  AOY  for  D72

David Lowery of Milledgeville, Ga took the win at the 2-Day Divisional Championship on Lakes Sinclair/Oconee on June 8 & 9, 2019 for the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour D72.  There were 38 anglers competing in the rainy conditions. His total weight for the combined two days was  33.66 pounds!   David said he was using a jig with a Big Bite Baits swimbait trailer which will be released soon at ICAST.   He likes to use Impulse rods, All-Terrain tackle, and JJ's Magic. David won the First place trophy and cash payout of $1,530 and also secured the Angler of the Year for D72. Director Benny Howell awarded $250 cash as the AOY prize.   David also won $100 cash for Big Bass of the Year which he caught in November.  Congratulations to David Lowery for his total earnings of $1,880 cash and top honors! He gives a very special "THANKS" to his wife, Vicky!!!

SEAN CAPES  WINS  D72 on OCONEE

Sean Capes of Sharpsburg, Ga took home the first place trophy and $775 cash on April 7, 2019 with five bass weighing 17.83 pounds at the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour on Lake Oconee for D72.   Sean likes to use a square bill crank bait on rocks, and he landed a 6.39 pounder to take the trophy for Big Bass and additional cash of $195 for the optional big bass pot.   There were 39 anglers competing for the total payout of $1,911.

RANDY HEATH  WINS  D72 on SINCLAIR

Randy Heath of Decatur, Ga brought a limit of five bass to the scale totaling 13.75 pounds to win the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tournament on March 23, 2019 for D72 on Lake Sinclair.   Randy anchored his sack with a 5.45 pounder that he caught on a Zoom trick worm close to a seawall.   Randy won $807 cash and took home the first place trophy.

JOSHUA PARRISH  WINS  D72 on SINCLAIR

Joshua Parrish of Rincon, Ga took home the first-place trophy and $755 cash for his day of fishing in the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tournament for D72 held on March 9, 2019, at Lake Sinclair.   He brought a five fish limit to the scale that weighed 16.91-pounds.   Joshua said he went way up the river and used a spinnerbait most of the day in shallow water.  Joshua has fished all the twelve tournaments held in D72 for the 2019 season and is on track to take home the additional $100 offered by director Benny Howell for any angler fishing all of the D72 tournaments!

LANCE  COLLINS  WINS  D72 on OCONEE

Lance Collins of Monticello, Ga took home $755 cash for first place finish in the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tournament held on Lake Oconee for D72 on February 16, 2019.  Lance said he caught his five fish limit weighing 17.82 pounds on a spinnerbait in shallow water.  He also won the trophy for Big Bass with a 5.97 pounder, and won an additional $185 cash for the optional big bass pot.  His total cash payout for the day was $940.

WILLIE McMULLEN  WINS  D72 on SINCLAIR

Willie McMullen of Oxford, Ga took home the first place trophy and $824 cash on Febuary 9, 2019 on Lake Sinclair at the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tournament for D72.   He had a limit of five bass, with a total scale weight of 19.74 pounds.  Several anglers weighed in five pounders, but Willie took home another trophy for Big Bass with a 5.98 pounder and additional cash of $240 for the optional big bass pot.    Willie said he caught his fish using a jig on sea walls and docks.  His total earnings for the day was $1,064!

LANCE  COLLINS  WINS  D72 on SINCLAIR

Lance Collins of Monticello, Ga took home $620 cash and the first-place trophy on January 26, 2019, at the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tournament for D72. Lance caught his five fish limit using a spinnerbait in shallow water.  His total scale weight was 18.19 pounds, and he anchored his sack with a 5.08 pounder.

Brad Stalnaker Takes the win on Oconee

Brad Stalnaker of Eatonton, Ga took the win on January 12, 2019, for the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour  D72 tournament held on Lake Oconee.  Brad brought his five-fish limit totaling 19.13 pounds to the scale to take home $735 cash and a first place trophy.  He said he caught his fish flipping.  Brad anchored his sack with a 4.82 pounder.

David Lowery Takes the win on Oconee

David Lowery of Milledgeville, Ga dominated the field of 27 anglers on December 15, 2018, to take the win on Lake Oconee for the AFT D72 tournament. David said he caught his fish using a five-inch Big Bite fighting frog.  His scale weight of 14.61 pounds put him at the top of the leaderboard to win $660 cash and the first-place trophy.  David was the only angler to bring a limit to the scale.

Swinton Sike Takes First on Sinclair

Swinton Sikes of Metter, Ga takes first place for the AFT D72 tournament held December 1, 2018, on Lake Sinclair running out of Dennis Station DNR ramp.  Twenty-six anglers competed for top honors in the all-day rain event. Swinton brought in a 5 bass limit totaling 15.34 pounds to win $640 cash and the first place trophy.  His sack included a 6.01 pounder to secure the Big Bass optional pot of $130 cash and another trophy.

Sean Capes Takes the win for D72 on Oconee

Sean Capes of Sharpsburg, Ga takes the win on Lake Oconee for the AFT D72 tournament on November 24, 2018. Sean was using a small crankbait on rocks to catch his five-fish limit totaling 10.50-pounds.  Sean took home $579 cash and a first-place trophy for the best sack of the 23 anglers that braved the cold rainy day.

DAVID LOWERY WINS AFT D72 AT OCONEE

David Lowery brought his five best keepers to the scale to take the win at Lake Oconee for the AFT D72 tournament on November 10, 2018.   His total weight of 16.45-pounds netted him $735 cash and the First-Place trophy.  David caught a 7.18-pounder to win an additional $175 cash and the Big Bass trophy. David said he was fishing in about ten feet of water using a football head jig with a Big Bite fighting frog.

JOSHUA PARRISH WINS AFT D72 AT OCONEE

 

Joshua Parrish of Rincon, Ga was able to secure the win at Lake Oconee on October 13, 2018, for the AFT D72 tournament.  Joshua said he caught his best four keepers using a Pop-R and shaky head on docks, using his Kissel Krafts custom built fishing rods.  His total weight of 9.77-pounds put him in first place to take home $600 cash and a trophy.

SAM DYAL WINS AFT D72 ON SINCLAIR

Sam Dyal of Baxley, Ga endured the very hot day at Lake Sinclair on October 6, 2018 and took the win at the AFT D72 tournament.  Sam used plastics on a shaky head in shallow water to catch his 5-fish limit.  He had a 3.11 pounder to anchor his sack totaling 10.64 pounds.  Sam took home a nice First Place trophy and $738 cash for the win!

FRANK BURRIS WINS AFT D72 ON SINCLAIR

Frank Burris of Jackson, Ga takes the win at Lake Sinclair for AFT D72 on September 8, 2018.  Frank brought 5-bass to the scale weighing 13.35 pounds to finish first place out of 43 anglers.  It was a very hot day, and the fishing was tough, but Frank was happy to put $796 in his pocket at the end of the day!  He caught fish in the morning using a popper on points mid-lake.  After the sun got up, Frank found a little wind and caught fish using a spinnerbait on blowdowns.  He also caught keepers using a shaky head on brush piles and culled keepers several times.
