What Michael does for a living:

United States Air Force (Retired)

What you should know about Michael:

Was a USAF weapons loader for 25 years and worked on F-16s, F-15Es, A-10s,  B-2s and F-22's.

How Michael started fishing

Started Tournament Fishing with the Whiteman Bassmasters club when stationed at Whiteman AFB, MO.

Aspirations or goals with fishing

Just love being on the water and learning.  If I can win enough in one tournament to pay for the next one that is a bonus.

Favorite way to fish

Crankbait fishing.  I like to fish fast and cover water.

Most exciting fishing experience

Hooking a 20 pound Muskie in the closing minutes of a bass tournament on  Pomme De Terre Lake in Missouri.  Didn't help win the tournament but it was exciting.

How Michael preps for a tournament

Lots of internet research on maps and fishing reports.

Three favorite search baits

 Crankbaits, Swim Jigs, Chatterbaits

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

Won a club tournament from the backseat by pitching and flipping jigs and Senko's into flooded buckbrush.

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Since I am typically a co-angler, the hardest part is deciding what rods to leave behind.

When tournaments don't go my way

Just put my head down and fish something I am confident with.
