Fished Offshore Saltwater since I was 2yrs old and Saltwater Tournaments. Started fishing ABA in 2001 my neighbor told me about Co angler format in Open and Weekend Series

How Keith preps for a tournament
Read old reports , check Water clarity and change lures about every hour up to Tournament only to fish with the same 6 lures I started with.

When tournaments don't go my way
I keep a journal of all Lakes , Time of yr, Temp , Water Clarity , Wind / sun conditions that I fish either on my own or tournaments and what worked / what didn’t. Hopefully next time I am able to narrow down quicker the bait needed
Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:
As Co Angler treat your angler with respect and be quick with the net and your boater will be your biggest asset.
