What you should know about Bobby:

I spend as much time on the water as possible and love spending time with my family. I have been blessed with a family that supports me and pushes me to help achieve my dreams.

How Bobby started fishing

I started fishing at a very young age with my dad at small ponds. He said I would sit there all day whether I was catching anything or not.

Aspirations or goals with fishing

I am chasing my dreams of becoming a professional. I want to be able to compete against the best in the world.

Favorite way to fish

My favorite type of fishing is definitely power fishing with Texas rigs and jigs.

Most exciting fishing experience

My most exciting fishing experience is being able to share fishing with my family. Whether it was pond fishing with my son or red fishing in the gulf with my fiancé. Making memories is what it's all about.

How Bobby preps for a tournament

I spend time days leading up to a new lake studying online information, studying charts, and graphing spots during on water practice.

Three favorite search baits

BassReaper Bait Co square bill, Chatter bait, and I use a swim jig. For top water, I love using a spook.

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

I have had multiple club wins finishing my strengths.

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

The constant changing conditions of weather from practice to the tournament day.

When tournaments don't go my way

I move forward and work harder for the next one. It won't be your day every day but you have to press forward.

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Practice, practice, practice. Pick a technique or type of fishing, become proficient, and move on to the next. If the fish aren't biting, move on.

Some shared general bass fishing techniques for people just getting into the sport

When punching heavy grass or mats, I use a heavy Tokyo rig. This allows the bait to sit up off the bottom of the lake which in turn allows the fish to take the bait better. It also allows the weight to stay out of the way on the hook set.
