What you should know about Jonathan:

How Jonathan started fishing

Started fishing as a child with my father and grandmother on Blue Ridge lake.

Aspirations or goals with fishing

Just love to fish and the competition that fishing makes possible. Just want to see how high I can go.

Favorite way to fish

Power fishing is my beard and butter. Will go shallow as long as the oppertunity presents itself.

Most exciting fishing experience

The day I took my little boy out on the lake for the first time and he caught a spot bass on his second cast. Couldn't take the smile off mine or his face.

How Jonathan preps for a tournament

I study lake maps and local fishing reports to see where the fish are relating to and depth and pick my spots from where I think will give me the best opportunity to catch fish.

Three favorite search baits

Crank bait, Chatterbait, Swimbait.

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

When tournaments don't go my way

I learn from my mistakes in the moment and congradulate the ones that did well and hope the next one goes better than the last.
