What you should know about Stacy:

How Stacy started fishing

My husband has always bass fished. He finally convinced me to try it and now I am hooked!!!

Aspirations or goals with fishing

I want to be able to show that anyone can do it, My goal is to have fun and learn as much as I can. I would like to make it Pro but never can tell.

Favorite way to fish

I love to use senkos, flukes and chatter baits

Most exciting fishing experience

I was fishing the WBT and caught a 4 pound bass on a top water frog at 7:45 in the morning on day one of their championship.  That one fish got me second place and big bass

How Stacy preps for a tournament

I like to go up a day before the tournament and check out the water.  That night I go over in my mind what todo and I also have long talks with my husband.

Three favorite search baits

Chatter bait

weightless fluke

top toads

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

I finished second place with big bass for the WBT championship.  I was using a top water frog at 745 that morning

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Fishing Co-Angler

When tournaments don't go my way

I regroup and think about what I did wrong.  I replay the whole day in my head and figure out what to do next time

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

I would say to never give up.  That you will have days where it goes all wrong, just keep going.  Ask plenty of questions and learn all you can.

Some shared general bass fishing techniques for people just getting into the sport

Always carry an assorment of lures.  Soft plastice have saved me alot.  Also think outside the box.  Chatterbaits are also always in my box, they will work in any condition
