What Truck, Boat and Outboard does David run?

My Sponsors

Not yet but looking.

What David does for a living:

Entrepreneur

What you should know about David:

I am a full time father first and then my love of fishing cocomesmes next. Fishing is the thing I do to both have fun and to relieve stress. As a small child my grandfather introduced me to Lake Okeechobee and all it has to offer. Even though my grandfather is gone I still carry on the tradition with my sons and travel over three hours at least once a month to fish on this great lake.

How David started fishing

As a kid I started doing local tournaments and then once I became and adult I started becoming members of fishing clubs so I could participate in their tournaments.

Aspirations or goals with fishing

I aspire to become a professional bass angler and fish next to some of my idols including Kevin VanDam, Bobby Lane and Chris Lane. I also would like to grow my non for profit and teach our youth about the sport of fishing.

Favorite way to fish

My favorite way to fish is using frogs because I like the strike action of the bass hitting the plug.

Most exciting fishing experience

Each time I am fishing is exciting to me.

How David preps for a tournament

I prep my changing all my lines, making sure I have all my tackle and practice in different bodies of water whether it's a small pond or a big lake.

Three favorite search baits

Crank bait, worm, and top water poppers.

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

Caught my five fish limit as a coangler and had a boater that actual used my knowledge of Lake Okeechobee to fulfill our limit.

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Not having own boat yet and not always having a spot in tournament.

When tournaments don't go my way

Think about how things can be different next time.

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Be patient, have fun and love the bite.
