What you should know about Virgil:

How Virgil started fishing

I learned about bass fishing from my father in law several years ago. THe first tournament I ever fished in a local club tournament I won. I been fishing a little over 40 years competing in various circuits. I recently about 4 years ago joined with ABA. I competed in the series back in 2006 when it was with another ngler organization. I have fished the BFL,Anglers Choice, and Couples Associaion of Sports Tournaments.

Aspirations or goals with fishing

My goals are to do the best I can in any tournament. I'm excited to have qualified to fish the ABA Open Series Nationals in South Carolina this year. I'm never too old to learn and the past few years I have fished as a co angler with some great boaters.I have made lasting friendships with many of the guys in my region

Favorite way to fish

I prefer to jig fish because of its versatility. With the many options available in jigs today you can civer a lot of water. Sometimes its slow and methodical with suits my style. I may not catch a lot but I'll catch a good one.
