What you should know about James:

I enjoy the one on one competition that ABA offers.  I am also a boat captain for high school tournaments.

How James started fishing

I started fishing at age 6 off my aunt and uncles dock on Lake Weiss.

Aspirations or goals with fishing

Learning more and more every tourney. Sharing what little knowledge I have with others.

Favorite way to fish

Power fishing. My patience is very limited.

Most exciting fishing experience

Going to a local lake and catching over 30 lbs.

How James preps for a tournament

Make sure reels are in working order as well as they have plenty of line. Get my less tired on I wish to fish first. Get plenty of sleep the night before.

Three favorite search baits

This, that, and that other bait.

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

Over 24 lbs cranking.

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Other boats on your hole.

When tournaments don't go my way

I'd rather not say.

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Pay attention to successful anglers and never give up.
