How Raymond started fishing

I started fishing when I was 4 when my grampa use to take me to a lake to fish for crappie. My uncle Bob got me into bass fishing and I was hooked ever since. I started tournement fishing in 1995.


Aspirations or goals with fishing

Just have fun and get to the next tournement.

Texas rigged 7" Power worm.

Check on the weather, water temp, tides and fix my rods accordingly.

1st place finish, stayed on my spot was patient and got the bag I needed.


Most challenging part of tournament fishing

High wind on open water.


When tournaments don't go my way

I go home drink 3 beers and wash the boat.


Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Get the best fishing boat you can afford.


Some shared general bass fishing techniques for people just getting into the sport

The best I can think of to start out is a texas rigged curl tailed worm. Cast to what you think is a good spot let it sink and slowly work the bait back to you.
