Worm. Top baits and cranking big baits

Most exciting fishing experience

Caught Lake Blackshear's biggest tournament weight to date. Caught April 1 2010. 28.80lbs

How Jimmie preps for a tournament

Study weather and past tournaments same time of year and looking at my mapping on my units

Three favorite search baits

Popping frog and worm

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

April 1 2010 28.80 lbs caught fish on spinner bait floating worm and trick worms. On the back side of a shad spawn after a tornado had blow a lot of trash in the lake including a could of docks that colapased.

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Cold muddy water

When tournaments don't go my way

I try to figure out what I might could have done different because you have to learn from each experience on the lake

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Learn to use your electronics and learn to not only how to catch fish using different techniques and how to locat your on fish. Any one can catch then the trick is to find them.

Some shared general bass fishing techniques for people just getting into the sport

The best thing is to use different baits learn what they do. I use to try baits in a pool to see exactly what they do. Good example was learning what a sinko does skip one in a pool and what how it reacts.
