To make it back to the National Championship again even thhough work kept me from being able to fish it in 2017.
Favorite way to fish
I love fishing deep water..Worked in Tennessee and fished the ABA there and loved it.
Most exciting fishing experience
Catching smallmouth on Douglas in Tennessee. Had a blast.
How Alfred preps for a tournament
Research the lakes because being from Florida and fishing in man made lakes in Texas is totlly different and iv'e also been lucky to meet some great people that give me helpful tips.
Three favorite search baits
Crankbait, spinnerbait and swim baits.
Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.
I finished 9th on Douglas in Tennessee and 6th on Bob Sandlin in Texas also 18th on Texoma to qualify for the Nationals.
Most challenging part of tournament fishing
Adapting to where my boater decides to fish.
When tournaments don't go my way
I don't quit and look forward to the next one.
Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:
Really do your homework and don't ever quit till the last cast.
Some shared general bass fishing techniques for people just getting into the sport
Iv'e learned from my boaters is to work hard to find a pattern be it fast or slow and adapt. There are so manty presentations to use to catch fish and don't be afraid to change it up.
