Most exciting fishing experience
When we get to travel and go to new lakes, it is a learning experience and we went to Kentucky Lake for the first time and caught a 7 pounder (biggest fish) I had ever caught. I had been telling my husband I was going to go and catch a big fish there all year long and I did. It was amazing!!
How Cathy preps for a tournament
Re-tie my lines, watch the weather and try to get some sleep
Three favorite search baits
I'd rather not say but there is one bait that I use on every lake. I will not leave home without it. That is my go-to bait. For the most part, I use a variety
Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.
Best tournament finish was a club tournament and won the tournament and big fish too. It was a hot, tough day, the bite was few and far between but it was my day. Had 5 bites, put 5 fish in the boat. It was great!
Most challenging part of tournament fishing
The most challenging is the weather on the high pressure days. That makes fishing very tough.
When tournaments don't go my way
Wasnt meant to be.
Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:
Never give up because you will not have two fishing days that are exactly the same!

Oh yes, having to be quiet or the fish wont bite, that is just a myth. Seems like the more I talk, the more they bite. I love when people ask me about fishing. I get excited explaining and showing them just as much as actually fishing. I get that adreline rush! So, ask all the questions you want!
