Bass Pro Shops 150 Series on Lake Wylie June 6, 2020

 

Athens, AL – The Bass Pro Shops 150 Series is coming to Lake Wylie June 6, 2020 running out of Buster Boyd. The winning team of this one-day tournament will take home a new Tracker Marine Pro Team 175 TXW Bass Boat with a Mercury Marine four-stroke outboard valued at $21,000.00.  The Bass Pro Shops 150 Series is a team format providing competition for boat owners with 150hp - or smaller outboards. 

 

The top 20 team by place of finish from the Lake Wylie tournament will be invited to complete in the Bass Pro Shops 150 Series Championship on Wheeler Lake in Decatur AL in October.  The This Championship will offer two (2) Bass Tracker Pro Team 195 TX Boat packages* to the winning team valued at $60,000.00.  The cash payout will be to the remaining top 20% of the field at all events. 

All Teams receive a free 30-day membership to American Bass Anglers! (SPECIAL NO MEMBERSHIP FEE REQUIRED) Membership Fee is normally $35 annual per team member a $70 saving

  • Team Entry Fee $200
  • Payback will be a Bass Tracker Bass Boat package* for qualifying events and two Tracker Bass Boat packages* for the Championship plus a cash payback to the top 20% of the field.  
  • The field is limited to bass boats with 150hp or smaller (see Rules).
  • No Pros or guides are allowed (Bass Elite or FLW Tour anglers, see Rules) 
  • Draw prizes at registration meetings held at Cabelas, 1000 Cabelas Dr, Fort Mill, SC 29708 Friday June 5, 2020 from 4 to 6pm with a safety briefing at 7pm.
  • No Off-limits for qualifying events
  • On-Site Registration Meetings will be held on Fridays from 3pm to 6:30pm the afternoon before each tournament at the hosting Bass Pro Shops location.

LES CHARLES  WINS  D72 on SINCLAIR

Les Charles of Milledgeville, GA took home the first place trophy and $813 cash for his 5 bass limit totaling 15.92 pounds at the D72 Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tournament held on November 27, 2021 at Lake Sinclair.  Les said he caught his fish flipping docks with a homemade jig.

Tom and Missy take the win and the GLine Battery $100 Bounty on Cooper River

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day on the Cooper River with mild temperatures and sunny skies!  We had eight teams come out to compete with every team bringing fish to the scales.  Several teams commented on how clear the water was and how many big bass they watched swimming but couldn’t get to bite.  It seems that the most productive bite was on crank baits and worms.  

Tom and Missy Bancroft took First Place with 5 largemouth bass weighing 8.15 lbs. earning $360.  We caught our bass on crankbaits in the morning and shaky head worms in the afternoon.

Team Tour Championship Postponed

Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed.  The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday.  The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament.  The new dates for the Team Tour Championship will be November 21-22 on Wheeler Lak
