Morris Sheehan - President

Morris Sheehan, Athens, Alabama. Retired US Army, has been in the fishing industry for over 20 years. He also originally joined the MBAA over 20 years ago. In 1997 Morris was the MBAA Angler of the Year. In January, 2000 he purchased MBAA, renamed the organization to American Bass Anglers, and also moved the headquarters to Athens, AL. Morris brought the organization fresh life and a new vision for the future of the weekend angler. His efforts continue to provide low cost tournament events for the weekend angler. David Hagood, Elkmont, Alabama joined ABA national staff fulltime in February, 2000. David was formerly a consultant in the computer aide engineering field and has been a Triton Boat owner since 1997. David’s wife Dawn is a Master Jeweler and soon to be certified gemologist. They have 3 sons: Sean, who is actively serving in the United States Navy, Christopher, and Spencer, and one daughter: Alisha Feimster along with two wonderful granddaughters: Katie and Rebecca Feimster. David has been fishing tournaments since 1978 and is active in organizing and running tournaments since the early 80s..
"I love fishing but my favorite past time is spending time with my wife and children. Bringing the sport of bass fishing to America’s youth is a challenging and personal goal. The young anglers today are the weekend anglers of tomorrow."

Ellen Phillips, Athens Alabama joined ABA staff fulltime in December 2002 and runs the day to day operations dealing with memberships and tournament results. Ellen was previously a Manager in the Awards industry. Ellen makes all of the ABA Plaques including the National Championship. Her husband Mike is a military veteran. And they have 2 children.

Debra
Talley, Decatur, Alabama, joined the National Staff in
August, 2005. Debra has had over 20 years experience in
marketing and producing national events, conventions and
trade shows as the CEO of World Class Events. She administered
multi-million dollar accounts for both corporate and military
contracts and produced USO Shows for the Department of
Defense traveling to military installations around the
world. She serves on the Miss Alabama / Miss America Board
of Directors and was Alabama’s Woman of the Year,
2003. But, most importantly, she has been an avid fisherwoman
since the age of 6 and she and her husband, Neil, have
been Triton Boat owners since 2001.

Elizabeth Fairley

Elizabeth Fairley, originally from Leeds, Alabama, joined the ABA in May 2008. Elizabeth is a graduate of Jacksonville State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. She was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha fraternity and is now part of their alumni program.
After graduation, Elizabeth joined the sales team at Pro Forma Title, Inc. While there she served on the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders, the Birmingham Association of Realtors, and the Dixie Land Title Association.
Elizabeth competed in the Miss Alabama Pageant in 2005. She loves the outdoors and enjoys spending time on her home waters, Lay Lake, just south of Birmingham, with friends and family.

National Tournament Director: Darrell Barker

Darrell Barker originally from St. Louis, Missouri now resides in San Antonio, Texas with his wife Carol. They have been married since 1975. Darrell is retired Air Force and a Triton owner since 1998. He has been fishing tournaments since the late 70s and has been a director or assistant director for 10 years. He takes pride in being part of the American Bass Anglers family and has recently been selected as the National Tournament Director and he a Carol now reside in Athens, AL.

John Glenn, Lebanon
Tenn., has actively worked as a Fire Fighter / Paramedic
for 20 years with the Nashville Fire Dept. He created and
managed Pro Staff Programs for both Secret Weapon Lures and
Driftwood Lures. John has been the Tournament Director for
the “Emergency Services Bass Anglers”- a tournament
trail for Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Service Employees
since 2000. He has fished with various other fishing trails
and sees the ABA as the premiere trail to be associated with.
John has been married 16 years to wife, Jody, and has a 10
year old daughter, Jarah.
“My best fishing memory was the day I finished
next to last place, fishin with my daughter in her very
first tournament.” Take a kid fishing, the memories
are priceless.

RC Barker, Tampa Florida - President and owner of ProBass Networks.
A communications specialist, he can design and implement the perfect solution to your networking and web site needs. RC has years of expertise in the technical aspects of computer systems, mainframes, switches and routers. Robert Medeiros of Forestdale Massachusetts is a retired Financial Adviser and Retired Air Force. Bob, a member since 1986 & a district director since 1989, has been a major force in the ABA rebuilding in the New England Area. Bob has been working closely with the National office at every national championship since 2000. In 2003 Bob was named NeBCO Man of the Year, a very high honor. Bob is a leader for the weekend angler and an American Bass Anglers Hall of Fame Member!

Florida Manager: Craig Maxwell (Florida)

Craig
Maxwell of Tampa Florida is retired military and has been
active on the national staff running tournaments in Florida
since 2001. Craig ran 25 events in the 2003 season. He
is an example of the “best of the best” in tournament directors.
Craig has been working closely with the National office
in promoting tournaments for the weekend angler. Craig
manages the state of Florida. |

Northeast Manager: Steve Feigel (Eastern New Jersey,
New York, and Pennsylvania)

Steve Feigel of Oakland, NJ owns
his own construction business and has been active in running
tournaments for ABA since 2000. Steve has been very diligent
in promoting ABA tournaments and even has a TV show on local
public access about the weekend angler and ABA tournaments.
Steve works closely with the National Staff in promoting
events in the Northeast concentrating on New Jersey and New
York. |

East Coast Manager: Gary Conner (Virginia, North Carolina,
Northern South Carolina, Maryland, and Delaware)

Gary Conner of Williamsburg, Virginia
owner of www.bassnedge.com and a retired Air Force veteran
is a Triton Boat owner and an ABA life member. He has worked
closely with the National Office since it was moved to Athens,
AL. Gary has been an area coordinator of the east coast region
for the ABA since 2000 and is a driving force for promoting
tournaments for the weekend angler. |

Michael Garlen of Athens, AL is the Regional Manager that covers Alabama north of Birmingham, Southern Tennessee, and Northwest Georgia. Michael has been running tournaments for ABA for many years. |

Manager: Barry Davis (Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana,
Kentucky)

Barry Davis of New Albany, Ohio is one of the best tournament directors ABA has ever seen. His efforts in promoting tournaments to the weekend anglers of Ohio have been outstanding. Barry has been working closely with the National office to manage ABA events in Ohio. Barry is all about the weekend angler! |

Ozark Manager: Becky Minor (Kansas, Missouri, Eastern
Illinois, Northwest Arkansas, Oklahoma)

Becky was a public school music teacher for 20 years. She has been an ABA tournament director since 2000 and always does an outstanding job. Becky understands not only how to run tournaments but is great at promoting them as well. She spent recreation time bank fishing until she met up with her now husband Ben Minor about 17 years ago. She and Ben were married in Feb of 1996 they now have four grandchildren, Daniell and Darci York and Dillon and Kylie McIlvain.
" I rode around in the boat with Ben for at least three years before I picked up a rod and started fishing; it was very different from the bank fishing I was used to. But once I started, its so much fun, I can't stop. I've been tournament fishing since the early 90's and have met some of my best friends at the ramp." |

Hibdon - Arkansas Area Coordinator

Hibdon of North Little Rock, Arkansas works for the VA
Hopsital in Little Rock, previously served in the
US Air Force and is a life member of the ABA. Tommy
is one of the first four ABA members ever inducted into
the American Bass Anglers Hall of Fame. Tommy has been
working
closely
with
the National
office
and promoting
and running
tournaments
in
Arkansas. |

NY
West Manager: Joe Angelone
(Western New York)

Joe
Angelone has been fishing with ABA since 1987, as we all
know, it was called MBAA at that
time. He served in the Air Force from 1966 through 1970.
Joined Kodak in Rochester, New York that year, and has recently
retired after a 33 year career. He took over as director
of the New York district in 2001. He is a very proud owner
of a Triton TR21 boat. Joe is committed to expanding the
New York district to one of the largest of ABA. As newly
appointed manager of the New York (except the NY City area)
and Pennsylvania area he is eager to getting new districts
established in each state. Joe has been married to his wife
Marlene for 36 years. They have two grown children and are
the proud grandparents of four.
Joe is VERY Proud to be a LIFE member of American Bass Anglers.

Tina Peck of Whitehouse, TX is the announcer for the ABA National Championship introducing the anglers as they come on stage.
She is full time student at University of Texas at Tyler majoring in Criminal Justice. She also works as an assembler at Trane making air conditioners and heaters.
She is the coolest announcer you will ever meet! |
