Greg Salley Takes First Place at Kentucky Lake

Greg Salley Takes First Place at Kentucky Lake

From Division 40 in West Tennessee, March 7, 2010, Greg Salley from McEwen, TN is one step closer to the ABA National Championship with a 1st Place win and $714 in the American Fishing Tour bass tournament held on Kentucky Lake this past weekend.  Greg's limit of bass weighed in at an outstanding 28.10 pounds.  Second place went to Randy Ables of Drummonds, TN with a weight of 19.40 pounds, and in third place was Kevin Ray with a weight of 17.90 pounds. Big Bass and $215 was awarded to Greg Salley who caught a 9.70 pound largemouth.

These anglers are acquiring valuable points to insure their birth in division's two-day championship and the American Fishing Tour National Championship  thast will be held this fall on Kentucky Lake.  Their points are also being used to determine the divisional angler of the year.  The top angler by points earned in this division will represent the division in the Angler of the Year
final round.
 
Top five anglers were:
 
1.  Greg Salley  28.10 lbs.
2.  Randy Ables 19.40 lbs
3.  Kevin Ray 17.90 lbs
4.  Gary Singleton 17.30 lbs
5.  Michael Vann 14.75 lbs
 
Conditions: At launch is was 34 degrees and by noon in the high 50's to low 60's.  The wind picked up during the day out of the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.  The water was slightly stained for the most part.
 
Next Divisional Tournament:  Division 40's next tournament will be 27 March 2010 on Kentucky Lake out of the Port Road  Ramp in Big Sandy.
