Eddie Ditto Takes First Place at Lake Talquin

From Division 114 Seminole January 31, 2009 Eddie Ditto from Bainbridge, Ga is one step closer to the ABA National Championship with a 1st Place win and $449.00 in the American Fishing Tour Divisional Bass Tournament held on Lake Talquin this past weekend .Eddie’s five bass limit weighed in at 19.51 lbs. Second Place went to Marcus Purecka with a weight of 15.83 lbs., Third Place was Len Lindahl with a weight of 10.07 lbs. Big bass went to Eddie Ditto for catching a 7.02 large mouth.

These anglers are acquiring valuable points to insure their birth in division’s two-day champion and the American Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held this fall. Their points are also being used to determine the divisional angler of the year. The top angler by points earned in this division will represent the division in the Angler of the Year final round.

The top five anglers were:
1. Eddie Ditto             19.51 Lbs.
2. Marcus Purecka   15.83 Lbs.
3. Len Lindahl           10.07 Lbs.
4. Kyle Brooks            8.24 Lbs.
5. Bubba Thorne         7.92 Lbs.

Conditions: The weather was overcast, windy, and cold. The lake level was very full and the water was stained to muddy.

Winning Strategy: Fishing a Lipless Crank Bait in 2 to 5 feet of water on the north end of the lake.

Next Divisional Tournament: 2/21/2010 on Lake Seminole at Seminole Lodge.

The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship.
