Athens, Al - Tom Thompson, Falls Church, VA won the American Fishing Tour Maryland division 11 tournament with 5 bass weighing 15.14 held on Potomac River on 04/26/2014.
With the main river came strong winds and choppy conditions so Tom decide to stay with the creeks. While in the creeks he couldn`t get a bite on moving baits he decided to switch to Senko`s and Tubes. Fishing mostly lay downs the better fish came on high tide. Tom ran this course through the Mattawoman, Quantico, and Pohick Creeks to bag 5 bass weighing 15.14 lbs.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship for this fall on Old Hickory Lake in Hendersonville, TN.
