ATHENS, Ala. – Wesley Clutter won the American Fishing Tour, presented by American Bass Anglers, Ohio Division 93 tournament, held April, 26, 2014, on Buckeye Lake. Running out of Liebs Island ramps near Millersport, the Crooksville, Ohio, angler caught five bass weighing 11.22 pounds with a 4.22 pound kicker. For the victory, Wesley took home a check for $575. Clutter also won the big bass contest with a 4.22 pound lunker worth $130.
In second among the competitors, Kevin Iden, of Marion, Ohio, caught five bass weighing 8.98 pounds with a 2.27 pound kicker. He pocketed a check for $349.
Taking third place, John Randall caught five bass weighing 8.66 pounds with a 2.62 pound kicker. He pocketed a check for $123.
In fourth place, John Shell of Brownsville, Ohio caught five bass weighing 7.86 pounds with a 2.87 pound kicker. He pocketed a check for $97. Dirk Davenport of Delaware, Ohio rounded out the top five competitors with four bass weighing 7.76 pounds.
These anglers accrued valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round Fish-Off. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The next divisional tournament will be held May 10, 2014 on Buckeye Lake near Millersport, Ohio.
