David Andrews Wins Division 5 Spring 2014 Tournament

From Division 5, New England East, on April 6, 2014 - David Andrews, of Hudson, Massachusetts, is one step closer to the ABA National Championship with a first place win in the American Fishing Tour bass tournament held on Long Pond in Harwich, Massachusetts. David’s four bass weighed-in at 11.60 pounds. Second place went to George Smith who also weighed in four bass totaling 11.16 pounds. Third place was Cameron Smith with 10.18 pounds. Big bass was awarded to George Smith who weighed in a 4.84 pound small mouth bass.

The top 5 anglers were:
1. David Andrews    11.60 Lbs.
2. George Smith      11.16 Lbs.
3. Cameron Smith   10.18 Lbs.
4. Joe DeSousa        9.50 Lbs.
5. Billy Barrett           7.36 Lbs.

Conditions: We had 50 degree air temps with sunny skies. Water temps were in the low to mid 40s.

Winning Strategy: The pattern David used was to fish sandy points in 8 to 10 feet of water with a perch colored Livingston Lure jerkbait.

Next Divisional Tournament: The next Division 5 tournament will be contested on Wequaquet Lake, Centerville, Ma, on May 4th, 2014 & will be launched at the town ramp.
