Jason Dies wins on Old Hickory Lake
Jason dies won the American Fishing Tour, presented by American Bass Anglers, Tenn. Division 31 tournament, held 03/16/2014 on Old Hickory Lake. Running out of Bull Creek near Gallatin, the Lebanon, Tennessee angler caught five bass weighing 16.40 pounds with a 5.05-pound kicker. For the victory, Jason took home a check for $259. Jason caught his fish on secret Jerk bait.
In second among the competitors, Matt Stanley, from the Nashville area of Tennessee, caught five bass weighing 16.20 pounds with a 3.40-pound kicker. Matt caught his fish on a secret bait and pocketed a check for $93. Taking third place, Clark Cowley of Nashville area, Tennessee caught five bass weighing 11.25 pounds with a 3.10-pound kicker. He caught his fish with undisclosed bait.
Jason, of Lebanon, Tennessee, won the big bass contest with a 5.05-pound lunker. In fourth place, Billy Throne, of Nashville, caught 3 bass weighing 6.85 pounds
These anglers accrued valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round Fish-Off. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points.
