In second among the competitors, Tommy Hughes of Farmville, NC, caught 2 bass weighing 8.00 pounds with a 4.86 pound kicker. Tommy pocketed a check for $148.00.
Taking third place, Shane Barns, caught 4 bass weighing 6.40 pounds with a 2.29 pound kicker.
Seth Ellis of Lillington, NC, won the big bass contest with a 10.10 pound lunker.
In fourth place, Rick Ohlson of Garner, NC, caught 3 bass weighing 3.22 pounds. Jason Hughes of Tarboro, NC, rounded out the top five competitors with 1 bass weighing 1.80 pounds.
These anglers accrued valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round Fish-Off. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The next divisional tournament will be held 11/23/2014 on Tar River near Washington, NC.
