Kenneth McClarity Wins On Old Hickory Lake
Kenneth McClarity from Radcliff, Ky. won the American Fishing Tour, presented by American Bass Anglers, Tennessee Division 31 tournament, held 03/03/2013, on Old Hickory Lake.
Running out of Bull Creek landing near Gallatin,Tenn. the Radcliff, Ky. angler caught 5 bass weighing 13.80 pounds with a 4.10 pound kicker. For the victory, Kenneth took home a check for $224.00. Kenneth caught his fish on secret bait. He said,"…too early in the season to tell.” Kenneth entered as a non-boater and is the first non-boater to ever win first place in this division. Kenneth said, "Ihad to give Jason Dies all the credit for being a true boater." |
Fred Needham, of Portland, Tennessee, secured third place with 8.60 pounds and carried home the award for big bass with a 6.05 pound lunker. He caught his fish on a Bitsey bug jig. Second place went to Jason Dies with a weight of 9.50 pounds.
The day started out with a temperature of 22 degrees Fahrenheit and ended up a high of 45 with winds coming out of the NNW at 17 + mph.
These angles accrued valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will complete in the American Bass Angler of the year Final Round Fish-Off. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day AFT National Championship tournament.
