Joseph Toth from Georgia, is one step closer to the ABA National Championship with a first place win and earned $365.00 for the first place win and an additional $70.00 for tournament big fish, in this weekend’s American Fishing Tournament held on the Savannah River this past weekend. Toth brought one of only two limit’s to the scales. Toth’s five bass limit weighted in at 6.02 pounds. Second place went to Jerry Fowler with five bass weighing 5.50 pounds. Third place went to Berry Descaro with four bass weighing 5.02 pounds. Big Bass honors went to Joseph Toth who caught a 2.03 pound largemouth.
These anglers are acquiring valuable points in an attempt to insure their berth in the ABA National Championship this fall.

Four anglers did not weigh-in any fish.
Weather Conditions: The days leading up to the tournament were unseasonable warm with cloud cover. Tournament day started with a 45 minute fog delay to a partly cloudy ski, with temperatures getting to 81 degree. The fog did not lift completely until 11:00 o’clock.
The bait of the day was plastic, plastic and more plastic a few fish came off of spinnerbaits. Most anglers reported catching their fish in tide water, with little acting in the main river and the lakes. The anglers reported fishing in the lakes and oxbow.
Next Tournament is the Division Championship: The Tournament in Division 94 will be on Feb 23th out of Millstone Landing in Hardeeville, SC.
