In third place was Barry Descaro of Hilton Head, SC. Barry caught 5 bass weighing 16.88 pounds which included a 5.55 pound lunker and took home a check for $141.
In fourth place was Rodney ‘Krowbar’ Cromer of Pomaria, SC. Krowbar caught 5 fish weighing 14.09 pounds and received $110. In fifth place was Gene Parker of Asheville, NC with 4 fish weighing 13.13 pounds and received $78.
Weather was cool & wet for this one. It started out at 44 degrees with a light scattered rain and 52 degrees by the 3pm weigh-in with a WNW wind of 10 to 15 mph. Lake Murray was 2.2 feet below full pool, high 40’s water temp and clear water down the lake and a little stained stained water in the backs.
These anglers accrued valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title for the 2013 season. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round Fish-Off. In addition, the Nation’s top 500 anglers in points will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, 2013 AFT National Championship Tournament on Clarks Hill Lake out of Wildwood Park in Georgia.

The next divisional tournament will be held February 24h, 2013 on Lake Greenwood out of Greenwood State Park near Ninety Six, SC.

The American Fishing Tour offers low cost, close to home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship.
