In second among the competitors, Webb Collums of Jackson, Ms., caught 5 bass weighing 13.14 pounds with a 4.9-pound kicker. He caught his fish on unknown lures and pocketed a check for $190.
Taking third place, Marty Torrence of Crystal Springs, Ms, caught 5 bass weighing 13.2 pounds with a 5.4-pound kicker. He caught his fish on unknown lures.
Bob Keifer of Brandon, Ms, won the big bass contest with a 5.12-pound lunker. He caught his big fish on a spinnerbait.
In fourth place, Herb Blush of Yazoo City, Ms, caught 5 bass weighing pounds. Glenn Robinson of Carthage, Ms, rounded out the top five competitors with 5 bass weighing 10.13 pounds.
These anglers accrued valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round Fish-Off. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The next divisional tournament will be held December 1, 2012 on Ross Barnett Reservoir at Tommy’s Landing near Brandon, Mississippi.
