Pat Leach wins on Lake Texoma
Pat Leach of The Colony TX won the American Fishing Tour, presented by American Bass Anglers, TX Division 112 tournament, held Nov 17, 2012, on Lake Texoma.
Running out of Soldier Creek landing near Kingston OK, Pat caught 5 bass weighing 12.79 pounds with a 4.82-pound kicker. For the victory, Pat took home a check for $405.00. He caught his fish on a strike king series 5 crank bait in 5-6 foot of water along rocky ledges .
In second among the competitors, Rob Eckle of Burkburnett TX, caught 4 bass weighing 12.29 pounds with a 5.48 pound kicker and won the big bass contest also. Rob caught his fish on crank baits and Alabama rig off marina docks and pocketed a check for $304.00.
Taking third place, Bob Dean of Wichita Falls, TX, caught 2 bass weighing 8.04 pounds. He caught his fish on Spinner baits and pocketed a check for $71.00.
These anglers accrued valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round Fish-Off. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The next divisional 112 tournament will be held Feb 17 on lake Possum Kingdom near Graham TX.
