Steve Humphries Takes First Place at Pickwick Lake

From Division 117 on November 17, 2012 - Steve Humphries from Florence, Alabama is one step closer to the American Bass Anglers National Championship with a first place wins and $176 in the American Fishing Tour bass tournament held on Pickwick Lake this past weekend. Humphries’ five bass limit weighed-in at 15.70 pounds. Second place went to Charles Gray with a weight of 13.91 pounds. And the tournament big bass honor was awarded was to Charles Gray for catching a 4.77 pound Largemouth.

These anglers are acquiring valuable points to insure their birth in division’s two-day champion and the American Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held this fall. Their points are also being used to determine the divisional angler of the year. The top angler by points earned in this division will represent the division in the Angler of the Year final round.

Conditions: cold conditions to start the morning 32 deg. gave way to bright sunny skies with light wind and temp in the 60`s

Winning Strategy: A combination of top water bait, CB`s, and Alabama rig.

Next Divisional Tournament: This division’s next tournament will February 23rd on Pickwick Lake at McFarland Park
