Nathan Gravert Takes First On the Mississippi
Jay Burggraf Becomes Division 46’s AOY

From Illinois Mississippi River Division 46, 9/8-9/2012 – Nathan Gravert from Clinton, Iowa is one step closer to the ABA National Championship with a first place win and $440 in the American Fishing Tour bass tournament held on Mississippi River Pool 13. Gravert’s two day bass limit weighed in at 28.35 pounds. Jay Burggraf, while finishing in second place with 23.90 pounds, became the divisions Angler of the Year.

These anglers are acquiring valuable points to insure their birth in the American Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held this fall. Their points are also being used to determine the divisional angler of the year. The top angler by points earned in this division will represent the division in the Angler of the Year final round.

Conditions: Saturday brought wind from 10-15 mph and the water was stained, while Sunday saw a slower wind speed of 5 to 10 mph.

Winning Strategy: Nathan used spinnerbaits, jigs, and a craw to bring in his winning sack of fish.
