Eddie Wilson Completes the Chickamauga Sweep
and Captures Division 30 AOY

From Southeast Tennessee Division 30, July 14 & 15 – Eddie Wilson from Soddy Daisy, TN continued his dominating fashion on Lake Chickamauga by winning his fourth tournament of the year on the Tennessee River impoundment. Eddie also captured the AOY title for Division 30 and is now qualified to compete in the AOY final round tournament on Lake Hudson in Oklahoma. Eddie took home $676 for his efforts in the American Fishing Tour bass tournament. Eddie’s two day total weighed in at 29.78 lbs. Second place went to Bradley Collum with a weight of 22.15 pounds. Third place was Rayburn Cloud with a weight of 20.70 lbs. Big Fish honors went to Eric Cabrera for catching a 6.74 pound largemouth.

These anglers have acquired valuable points to insure their birth in the American Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held October 24-26 on Grand Lake O’ The Cherokees in Pryor Oklahoma.

The top five anglers were:
1. Eddie Wilson           29.78 Lbs.
2. Bradley Collum        22.15 Lbs.
3. Rayburn Cloud        20.70 Lbs.
4. Thomas Bayer        19.54 Lbs.
5. Gary Carter             18.31 Lbs.

Conditions: Day one was very cloudy with brief showers throughout the day. Lows in the low 70’s with highs in the upper 80’s.  The second day was very cloudy in the morning as well, changing to mostly sunny skies in the afternoon. Lows in the low 70’s with highs in the low 90’s.

Winning Strategy: Eddie’s fish were caught on topwater around grass in the morning. Once the sun got high he moved to channel ledges and humps fishing with a jig.

Next Divisional Tournament: This division’s next tournament is tentatively set for November 3rd 2012 on Chickamauga Lake to start the 2013 season.
