The top five anglers were: 1. Jason Ledet 22.66 Lbs. 2. Jeremy Dutton 22.03 Lbs. 3. Walt Stevens 19.99 Lbs. 4. Jesse Tisdale 16.83 Lbs. 5. Kevin Evans 16.27 Lbs.
Conditions: Water temps were in the mid 80’s early in the morning rising to some reports of the mid 90’s by the afternoon. Water quality was otherwise good with most areas being only slightly stained. There were a few clouds both days with a few more being present on day 2. There wasn’t a whole lot of wind, but an occasional breeze blew and provided some brief relief from the air temps that reached the upper 90’s both days.
Winning Strategy: Jason fished the creeks with a crankbait, Carolina rig and a flutter spoon. He stopped everywhere there was a bend in the channel and fished DD22 crankbaits and brush hogs on the Carolina rig.
Next Divisional Tournament: Division 98’s next tournament will be September 8th on Lake D’Arbonne at the Hwy 2 landing as long as the lake is not too low from the draw down.
