These anglers are acquiring valuable points to ensure their berth into this division's two-day championship and gain entry to the American Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held this fall. Their points are also being used to determine the divisional angler of the year. The top angler by points earned in this division will represent the division in the Angler of the Year final round.
The top five anglers were: 1. JD Ward 9.85 lbs. 2. Josh Bragg 9.73 lbs. 3. Ken Draskovic 9.39 lbs. 4. Joey Stay 9.30 lbs. 5 Clint Nail 9.19 lbs.
Conditions: The day started out smokin’ hot and heated up from there to hit 102 degrees. Waters temps ranged from 90 to 93 degrees. The water was slightly stained and still. Wind was dead calm.
Winning Strategy: JD fished ledges on the lower end of the lake with a heavy jig and Deep diving crankbait.
Next Divisional Tournament: This division’s next tournament will be August 21st and 22nd on Weiss lake in Cedar Bluff, AL.
