These anglers have acquired valuable points to insure their birth in the ABA National Championship on a lake not yet announced to be held in the fall of 2011. Their points are also being used to determine the Division 96 Angler of the Year. The top angler by points earned in this division will represent Division 96 in the Angler of the Year Final Round Event.
The top five anglers were: 1. Jeff Woods 11.56 lbs. 2. Phillip Anderson 11.53 lbs. 3. Don Kneece 11.10 lbs. 4. Phil Morris 9.75 lbs. 5. Alex Dziengiecewski 6.67 lbs.
Conditions: Weather was cloudy with a sprinkle at times. Wind was out of the SSW at 5 to 10 mph. Started out at 75 degrees with a high of a humid 87. Lake was down about 3 feet from full pool. The lake was mostly clear but stained a little in the backs from recent rain and water temp ranged from 86 to 88 degrees.
Winning Strategy: Jeff fished the middle part of the lake fishing points with rock and wood cover with a Senko and craw bait on a jig head. Jeff’s big fish (6.02 lb.) came on the Senko.
Next Divisional Tournament: This division’s next tournament will be starting the 2011 season on August 15, 2010 on Lake Greenwood at Greenwood State Park.
