These anglers are acquiring valuable points to insure their birth in the American Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held this fall. Their points are also being used to determine the divisional angler of the year. The top angler by points earned in this division will represent the division in the Angler of the Year final round.
The top five anglers were: 1. Tyler Purcell 22.05 Lbs. 2. Mark Inman 20.50 Lbs. 3. Robert Perkins 20.42 Lbs. 4. Donnie Avant 19.10 Lbs. 5. Chris Bullock 18.35 Lbs.
Conditions: Air temperature averaged 93 degrees with the water temperature ranging from 85 – 90 degrees with the water color averaging clear with 10 - 15 mph winds under partly cloudy skies.
Winning Strategy: Shallow and deep patterns prevailed.
Next Divisional Tournament: This division’s next tournament will be September 18th 2010 on Smith Mountain Lake at Penhook ramp; this is the first early bird tournament for the 2011 schedule.
