Ram Becomes Title Sponsor for ABA Tours

Athens, Ala. (February 20, 2015) - American Bass Anglers (ABA) announced today that the Ram Truck brand has signed a sponsorship agreement with American Bass Anglers. Ram will be the official and exclusive truck partner of American Bass Anglers and title sponsor of the Ram Weekend Bass Series, Ram American Fishing Tour and the Ram 100% Plus Team Tour.

“The ABA takes great pride in working with premium American brands and the Ram Truck brand is as iconic as it is true Americana,” said Morris Sheehan, President of American Bass Anglers. “ABA Members are very passionate about their sport and a glimpse of that passion can been seen in the pride they have for their trucks and bass boats. These members work hard and play even harder and they now have the hardest working truck brand on the planet behind them. We are excited to partner with Ram who has great passion for our sport.”

As part of this sponsorship Ram will be integrated into the sponsorship platforms and footprint at Ram Weekend Bass Series events, Ram American Fishing Tour Championship, Ram 100% Plus Team Tour events, American Couples Series Championship and Military Team Event.

“Bass anglers are passionate about their trucks,” said Bob Hegbloom, President and Chief Executive Officer, Ram Brand, FCA - North America. “An angler’s truck is as essential as his or her boat, rod or tackle. Ram builds trucks that meet the demanding needs of fishermen and other outdoorsmen, and offer features found nowhere else. Ram’s partnership with American Bass Anglers is a great opportunity to reinforce our involvement in this great outdoor pursuit.”

Some of the components of the sponsorship will include engagements with Ram Truck dealers, a national sweepstakes, national television exposure and other benefits for members of the ABA.

As part of the Ram American Fishing Tour and the Ray Scott Championship, a Ram Championship Bonus will be offered to winners and the Ram American Fishing Tour Angler of the Year. The Ram Championship Bonus offers selected anglers a free two-year lease of a new Ram truck of their choice with a MSRP of up to $50,000.

American Bass Anglers will be at the Bassmaster Classic Expo located in booth 6047. Stop by and learn more about ABA and its tours. Ray Scott, ABA sponsors and Pro-Staff will be on hand to meet and greet.
