Florida Central and Florida South Area 5 Championship Rescheduled Due to Hurricane Irma

The Ram Truck Open Series Florida Central Division and Florida South Division Area Championship has been re-scheduled to December 16th -17th on Lake Okeechobee.

The competitors will launch from Scott Driver Park landing in Okeechobee, Florida. Anglers may begin fishing at 7:00am or safe light on days one and two. The weigh in will begin at 3:00 p.m. each day. All anglers will compete both days of the event. There will NOT be a cut in the field. Registration begins at 4 p.m. on Friday December 15th at the ABA stage trailer at Scott Driver Park Pavilion. Registration for this event ends at 6:30pm on Friday December 15th with the meeting and partner pairing starting at 7:00pm local time.

All anglers are required to have a Florida freshwater fishing license.

Anglers fishing the Boater division may weigh in up to 5 bass each day at least 12 inches in length with an exemption permit available at registration. Co anglers may weigh in up to 3 bass each day at least 12 inches in length with an exemption permit available at registration. 

To qualify Anglers must have fished a total of three events within a division or a combination of four events within the two divisions.  To enter anglers fishing the Boater division pay $300.00 and Co anglers pay $150.00. 

First place boater is guaranteed a minimum of $10,000. First place Co angler is guaranteed a minimum of $5,000.

Also, the top 20 boaters and the top 20 co anglers from the two-day event will qualify for the Ray Scott Championship on the Red River in April 2018.

In addition to cash and prizes for top finishes, boaters and co anglers fishing this tournament and Ram Truck Open events throughout the season may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, Motorguide, T-H Marine, Abu Garcia, Maui Jim and Livingston Lures. Locking is allowed EXCEPT to Kissimmee River, Caloosahatchee River and Port St. Lucie Canal.

The best Ram Truck Open Series anglers from across the nation can advance to the no entry fee 2018 Ray Scott Championship to be held on the Red River in Shreveport, Louisiana in April 2018.
