Doug Goodall Takes First Place at Lake Jordan

From Division 1 Couples Central Alabama on February 15, 2014 – Doug Goodall is one step closer to the ABA National Championship with a first place win and $450 in the American Fishing Tour bass tournament held on Lake Jordan this past weekend. Their three bass weighed in at 8.68 pounds. Second place went to Mitch & Elizabeth Milner with a weight of 6.61 pounds and third place was Adam & Andrea Smith with a weight of 3.33 pounds. Woman’s big bass was awarded was to Elizabeth Milner for catching a 3.79 pound largemouth. Men’s big bass went to Ray Goodall with a 3.31 pound largemouth.

These anglers are acquiring valuable points to insure their birth in division’s two-day champion and the American Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held this fall.  Their points are also being used to determine the divisional angler of the year. The top angler by points earned in this division will represent the division in the Angler of the Year final round.

The top five anglers were:
1. Doug Goodall                                 8.68 Lbs.
2. Mitch & Elizabeth Milner                  6.61 Lbs.
3. Adam & Andrea Smith                     3.33 Lbs.
4. Phillip Lindley & Dejawann Pannell    2.68 Lbs.
5. Mark & Amy Shannon                      1.36 Lbs.

Conditions: Mostly sunny, 15 to 20 mph winds, low of 39, high of 45, water temp 41 to 44 degrees

Winning Strategy: 3 to 5 feet of water with a Texas Rig Lizard

Next Divisional Tournament: This division’s next tournament will be March 8, 2013 on Lake Guntersville out of the Alabama State Park.
