Randall & Jessica Langston Win on Apalachicola River
ATHENS, Ala. – Randall and Jessica Langston won the American Couples Series Florida Northwest Division 6 tournament, held November 9, 2013, on Apalachicola River.
Running out of White City Landing, Randall and Jessica, the newcomers from Sopchoppy, Florida, caught five bass weighing 10.40 pounds.
In second place, Vernon Ward and Barbara Taylor, of Fort Walton Beach, caught five bass weighing 6.69 pounds.
In third place, Titus Langston and Cynthie Cotto, of Sopchoppy, caught five bass weighing 6.24 pounds.
Randall Langston won the Men’s Big Fish contest with a 2.60 pound bass.
Barbara Taylor won the Ladies Big Fish title with a 1.08 pound catch.
All ABA American Couples Series events involve a team format with each team composed of one man and one woman. Although many married couples compete together as teams, some teams consist of boyfriend and girlfriend combinations, parent-child combinations or just two friends. Contestants between 14 and 18 years old may participate with a parent’s written permission.
