ATHENS, Ala. – Mark and Melissa Wilson won the Toyota Tundra American Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Tennessee East Division 5 tournament, held April, 5, 2012, on Lake Chickamauga.

Running out of Chester Frost Park near Chattanooga, the team caught 5 bass weighing 21.55 pounds Melissa won the women’s big fish prize with a nice 3.75 pound largemouth. For the victory, they earned a check for $450.00. The .....

Jeffery Archie wins on Kentucky Lake

ATHENS, Ala. – Jeffery Archie won the Toyota Tundra American Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Kentucky Division 8 tournament, held April, 19, 2014, on Kentucky Lake.

Running out of Paris Landing near Paris, Tennessee Jeffery Archie caught 5 bass weighing 18.37 pounds with a 4.83 pound kicker that resulted in big fish of the tournament. For the victory, he earned a check for $495 and $45 for big fish.

In second the team of, Brad Galbreathe and Lacey Drake caught 5 bass weighing 17.39 pounds. They pocketed a check for $330.

Jimmy & Samantha Langley Win on Lake Oconee

ATHENS, Ala. - Jimmy and Samantha won the American Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Georgia Division 2 tournament, held April 13, 2014 on Lake Oconee

Running out of Sugar Creek Marina near Buckhead, the team from Monroe, Georgia, caught five bass weighing 16.69 pounds with a 4.33-pound kicker. For the victory, they earned a check for $600. The Langley’s caught their fish on crankbaits.

In second for the 16 teams, Jeff and Amanda Maddox of McDonough, Georgia, caught five bass weighing 16.46 pounds with a 5.36-pound kicker. They pocketed a check for $360.

Richard & Tori Martens Win on Lake Jackson

ATHENS, Ala. - Richard and Tori Martens won the American Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Georgia Division 2 tournament, held April 12, 2014 on Lake Jackson.

Running out of Berry’s Boat Docks landing near Covington, the team from Bonaire, Georgia, caught five bass weighing 10.86 pounds with a 3.83-pound kicker. For the victory, they earned a check for $540. The Martens caught their fish on spinnerbaits.

In second for the 12 teams, Barry Stokes and April Ellis of Covington, Georgia, caught five bass weighing 10.66 pounds with a 2.93-pound kicker. They pocketed a check for $360.

Susan & John Mills Master Lake Hartwell

Susan and John Mills took first place on Lake Hartwell on Saturday, April 12. Their sack of five fish weighed in at 14-pounds, 5-ounces. The Mills, from Leesville, South Carolina, were sight fishing in the clearer waters nearer the Hartwell dam. By 10:30 am, they had not caught a keeper and were concerned that their strategy was not going to produce. A recent rise in water level had taken beds deeper and made them harder to see. But, within the next four hours, they culled through 7 nice bass to come in with the winning weight.

As a light rain came down in Rockwood, eight couples joined together for another exciting couples tournament with Division 9. Teams didn’t let the dreary weather hamper their good spirits.

Bonnie and Shannon Johnson were ready to win and conditions were right. The phase of the moon, the temperature of the water combined with some pre-fishing, this couple brought in 22.69 pounds including men’s big fish weighing 5.72 pounds! They were over seven pounds ahead of second place. Using an Alabama rig and more, Bonnie and Shannon walked away with $400. Congratulations guys.

Damon & Katie Hogan Take First Place at Kentucky Lake

From Division 16 Couples Mississippi North, DATE April 5, 2014 is one step closer to the ABA National Championship with a 1st Place win in the American Bass Anglers Couples Series bass tournament held on Kentucky Lake this past weekend.  Five bass limit weighed in at 19.17 for first place.

Conditions: Sunny, 6 to 12 mph winds, low of 51, high of 65, water temp 57 to 64 degrees
Winning Strategy: Crank Bait & Jig in 10 to 12 feet of water

Next Divisional Tournament: This division’s next tournament will be April 19, 2014 on Sardis Lake, MS. Engineering Point Ramp.

Victoria and Dale Goff Win on Lake Russell

Victoria and Dale Goff, from Lugoff, South Carolina, took top honors on Lake Russell Saturday, March 22. Their 9½ pound 5-fish sack was culled from 15 to 20 keepers caught during the day. While starting shallower in the morning, by 11:00 am they had shifted to fish in 15 to 20 feet depths.   Their deeper fish were caught on Zoom Brush Hogs with half-ounce tungsten sinkers. Lake Russell’s plentiful trees were part of the Goff’s winning formula.

Tammy and Rick Jones of Taylorsville, North Carolina, claimed second place with an 8½ pound 5-fish sack. Creek points with trees were an important part of the Jones’ successful strategy. They caught more than 30 fish during the day with shakey-heads, jigs, and swim baits.

Robert and Debbie Kolmetz win on Lake Seminole

ATHENS, Ala. –Robert and Debbie Kolmetz won the American Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, FL-NW Division 6 tournament, held March 8, 2014, on Lake Seminole.

Running out of Seminole Lodge near Sneads, FL, the team from Ponce de Leon, FL, caught 5 bass weighing 25.14 pounds with a 6.74-pound kicker.
 
In second place, Rick Moore and Donna Millner of Shalimar, FL caught 5 bass weighing 23.43 pounds with a 8.55-pound kicker.

What an incredible day on the Lake!  Robert Kolmetz, of Pounce de Leon, FL won the Men’s Big Fish contest with a 6.74-pound lunker and not to be out done by the guys, Donna Millner of Shalimar, FL won the Ladies Big Fish title with a 8.55-pound lunker.

Brenda and David Presley Win On Ft. Loudon/Tellico

March 8, 2014 – Ft. Loudon/Tellico

As the boats blasted off into the brilliant sunrise, you could feel a hint a spring in the air. This was Divisions 9’s first tournament of 2014 and attendance was high. Thirteen teams fished for the win but Brenda and David Presley pulled it off. Weighing in with 9.44 pounds they went home with $585 in their pockets and a nice plaque. The secret to their success was a combination of shad, raps and spinner baits.

Taking second place was Brenna Armfield and Carl Guffey with a total weight of 8.88 pounds. These two were smiling on their way home with a plaque from our sponsor, This ‘N That and  $390.
