John Hansen Wins Carlisle Tire Promotion

Carlisle Tires is serious about supporting the Bassmaster Weekend Series and American Bass Anglers!  When it all started the northeast Weekend Series had just traveled to Mosquito Lake Ohio, where Carlisle sales representative Marc Voskeritchian met us at the tournament.  Having had a tire blowout on the trip, Marc got on the phone and we had a replacement waiting for us when we got back from the trip.

While in Ohio we talked about other ways Marc could support the trail in his area and the thought of doing something at the regional championship came to mind.  Since this is the largest tournament we run in the area it seemed like a perfect fit.  Unfortunately for Marc the event at Smith Mountain Lake in Huddleston Virginia is not in his area of responsibility.  So, he ran the thought of a promotion up the flag pole and Mike Quinn jumped at the idea.  Area sales representative Dave Owsik quickly made things happen and put together a promotion whereby the day one leader at the tournament would win a complete set of five Black Rock rims with Carlisle Radial RH Tires. 

Over 95 percent of the anglers participated in the promotion by displaying a Carlisle sticker on their boat for the tournament, making them eligible for the win.  Come weigh in time it was evident that a lot of people struggled with the changing conditions on the lake.  In a very close match up John Hansen from Street, MD came out on top edging out Mark Williams of Taylorsville, NC for the win.  His 12.46 pounds weight finished him on top for day one and secured him the Carlisle prize.
