American Bass Anglers expands to South Africa
Athens, AL, August 12, 2009......American Bass Anglers announces today the expansion of the 2010 Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series operated by American Bass Anglers to South Africa. The South African Central Division will operate in the mid section of the country and compete under the same rules; entry fee, format, points and advancement system as their US counterparts.
"We are very excited about the expansion of the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series to South Africa. This action will expand our foot print to the international community and bring The Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series to a group of very excited anglers," said Morris Sheehan President.
Based on significant seasonal differences between the US and South Africa the new Division will start their 2010 season in the fall of 2009 to earn slots into a regional championship in the fall of 2010. The first South African event is scheduled for November 14, 2009 at Vaal Dam located south of Johannesburg.
This Division is locally sponsored by and Bluewater Marine and Sport Fishing, a Triton and Mercury Dealer located in Johannesburg, South Africa.
