Boggs Flips His Way to Victory in Kentucky

Athens, Al - Drew Boggs of Lebanon, TN weighed in 5 fish that weighed 23.03 pounds to win the Weekend Bass Series Kentucky event 2014-05-10 on Kentucky.

Drew said he caught his fish flipping bushes.  Second place went to Sam Boss of Paducah, KY.  Sam won $957 for his efforts using a crank bait.  Craig Powers of Harriman, TN took third place earning $635.  Craig said he caught his fish using a Pop-R.

Decker Wins Co-Angler Title on Kentucky Lake

Athens, Al - Jim Decker of Burlington, KY weighed in 3 fish that weighed 13.06 pounds to win the Co-Angler division of the Weekend Bass Series Kentucky event on 2014-05-10 on Kentucky.

Jim caught his winning fish using a black and blue jig.  James Swain of Greenville, KY finished second with 11.35 pounds earning $454 for his efforts.  James caught his fish using a creature bait.  Third place went to Mike Blumer of Louisville, KY.  Mike won $301 for catching 11.13 pounds by using striking plastics.

At the end of the season, the best WBS anglers from across the nation will fish the 2014 Ray Scott Championship, slated for Wheeler Lake in Decatur, Ala., from Nov. 12-18.

As a special Ray Scott Championship bonus, the Boater Division and Co-Angler Division champions will each receive entry fees and sponsorship into the one of two professional bass fishing series of the angler’s choice. The sponsorship includes entry fees into three professional events and sponsorship support. This sponsorship will put the champion within striking distance of one of two professional bass fishing championships.

At WBS events throughout the season, boater and co-angler competitors may also win hefty bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, Royal Purple, MotorGuide and T-H Marine. See the manufacturer web sites for specific details on how to qualify for these bonuses.
