Georgia Anglers to Fish Lake Eufaula on May 3rd

 Georgia anglers of the ABA Weekend Bass Series will make their fourth stop of the year at Lake Eufaula on May 3, 2014.  The event launch and weigh in will take place at Lakepoint Resort State Park.  Registration for the event will also take place at Lakepoint Resort State Park on May 2, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:30 pm.  More information on the event is available by contacting Tournament Manager Billy Benedetti at (256) 230-5632 or going to this link.

This event on Lake Eufaula is being hosted by the Eufaula-Barbour Chamber of Commerce.  The host may be contacted at (800) 524-7529 or www.eufaulachamber.com.

Jim Windham of Bonaire, GA won the last Georgia division event at Eufaula on June 22, 2013.  Windham targeted shallow water fish with a frog to weigh in 18.13 pounds for the win last year.  The co-angler champion of the event was Stephen Clay of Milledgeville, GA.  Clay took the co-angler title by throwing a frog and a spinnerbait in shallow water to catch a 13.20 pound bag of bass.

Weekend Bass Series events are open to all ABA members.  Memberships may be purchased onsite at tournament registration, by calling ABA at (256) 232-0406, or by going to www.americanbassanglers.com.  ABA membership dues are $25 per year and include a new member gift packet along with a subscription to American Bass Anglers magazine.

Anglers that finish the season in the top 40 points rankings will have opportunity to advance to the WBS Regional Championship to compete for two new Triton Boats at Lake Toho in Kissimmee, FL on October 17 & 18, 2014.  Anglers can advance from the WBS Regional Championship to the Ray Scott Championship on Lake Wheeler in Decatur, AL November 12 – 15, 2014 to compete for a $100,000 first place boater prize and a $50,000 first place co-angler prize.  Anglers can also cash in on contingency programs such as Triton Gold, Atlas Awards, Royal Purple Awards, and Mercury/Motorguide bonus money.  American Bass Anglers, Inc. is supported by Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, Royal Purple Lubricants, Carlisle Tires, Odyssey Batteries, TH Marine, Livingston Lures, Best Western Hotels, Simms Clothing, and North American Fishing Club.  American Bass Anglers, Inc. can be contacted at (256) 232-0406 or visit AmericanBassAnglers.com.
